Nad stavem MS se pozastavují také fanoušci
Do redakčního emailu dorazil dopis našeho rakouského čtenáře a rallycrossového příznivce Dietmara Drabka.

Originál dopisu v němčině a v angličtině

Dear gravediggers of rallycross sport,

what have you done with this great sport? Once again a race (Nürburgring) is postponed to an impossible time in the year, but this is just the tip of the iceberg. The local fans are no longer important for you, only the LifeStreams sold count, which will go down dramatically in the future. The change to the new format does not go down well with the drivers and certainly not with the spectators. Only 5 cars in the semifinals and finals over 5 laps, what a crazy idea! No one has any idea who has qualified for the final after the semis, earlier you knew it was the first 3 and that’s it. But now? In addition, the events are endlessly stretched out, garnished with countless breaks so that the semi-finals and finals only start at 5 p.m., suitable for TV. How unfriendly these times are for the local RX fans! When you think of races like this, do you also think of those who have already booked flights, reserved rooms and bought tickets? NO

By the way: In the last 17 years I have attended RX World Championships and European Championships live in Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Latvia, Spain, Portugal, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Italy, Belgium, Germany and even South Africa, but you have managed to finally take away my joy in the sport I once loved - congratulations. And no, neither Covid or the Ukraine war is to blame for this, solely the changes or deteriorations you have made. In this sense, after consultation with many RX fans and like-minded people all over Europe, a triple thumbs down!
